Hermione’s plan had come to fruition quite easily with Amy helping. Harry and Ron had spent the past couple of days in the records office trying to gather information and possible evidence. They’d contacted Kingsley to get clearance without having to sign in and risk blowing both their real and fake covers. 

Meanwhile, Jake and Charles had been placed on stakeout duty outside the Woolworth building. This time, though, they weren’t looking for a specific person, but some other type of consistency. Perhaps someone entering or exiting the building at the same time every day, or whether there were similarities in people’s gaits with their walk. Hermione and Amy had researched possible ways to imitate a person, and, with the trio’s past use of Polyjuice, they had more ideas of what to look for. Rosa was still stationed on surveillance duty, so she was monitoring the surrounding blocks for any sudden appearances. Sometimes she, Charles and Jake would switch around their duties to not get caught up in the monotony.

What Ron and Harry had found the next day was a similarity in times on the main sign in sheet for the Wand Records Office, but it was always a different name. The names were always male, so if it was Gerteso posing as other people, it narrowed the search for who the 99 was looking for. Once in the Wand Records Office, the second sign-in indicated that Gerteso was searching wand records between 1993 and 1998, but the rows varied. It looked as if Gerteso had been tackling about five rows a day, and was a week in. 

He typically only spent about forty five minutes searching each day to not arouse suspicion, and he didn’t go in order when searching the rows. Gerteso clearly planned everything out to minimize suspicions. The first day Harry and Ron were investigating, they split up the rows between them. 

It was a small records office, the rows weren’t very long, and the shelves were only four rows high. The years were labeled at the ends of the rows and indicated the record holder’s school age entrance year.  Records were kept in manilla folders that had stickers on the end with letters. The first two appeared to be the first and last initial, and most folders only had two stickers, but some had three or four. So Harry and Ron decided to decipher the labeling system first to see if they could save time.

“How in the world does he get through five rows each day? There must be at least a hundred records to sift through on each shelf!” Harry said as he was looking down the row.

“Maybe there’s a classification system with the letters that makes it easier for him to look.” Ron suggested. He scanned the row he was currently scanning. “Americans certainly go through a lot of wands, don’t they? This one person has had at least five, and their Ilvermorny start was in ‘93!” He shook his head in disbelief.

“Guess they’re more careless than we are, or more interested in power and status. Who knows.” Harry was silent for a bit before he said, “Hey Ron, I think the third letter is the married name for those witches.”

“I think you’re right, Harry,” Ron said as he handled a folder himself. “Black and white lettering for first and last name, blue and white lettering for married name, yeah?”

“Yeah, now let’s look for-” Harry cut himself off as they heard a door open.

Ron checked his watch and knew it was close to that time. He pointed at his watch, and then the end of the row. Harry grabbed the invisibility cloak from inside his pocket and put it on while Ron made his way to an area in the shelves where the newcomer wouldn’t find him. He double checked that his phone was on silent, and opened it to send a text message to Jake and Charles. He’s here.

Jake responded fairly quickly. Harry texted Charles. He’s going to give us a description to work off of so when he comes back out we can trail him to see where he goes.

Brilliant, Ron sent back before switching his contacts to Hermione. 

Her response was a bit less stealth. Omg. He’s there? Are you going to apprehend him? 

Not yet.

Well, why not? Isn’t that the whole reason you’re there???

Ron rolled his eyes. He was once again reminded why Hermione wasn’t an Auror. Hermione, we don’t know for certain that it’s him. Plus, we need to be sure we know what he’s after to have enough evidence. It’d look pretty bad if we arrested the wrong guy and then spooked Gerteso.

Ugh, fine. 

While we’re waiting, have you found any more on The Cryptic yet?

OH! Yes, actually. Amy is going to send you a couple files now. It may actually help us narrow it down.

As Ron was reading Hermione’s text, he saw the drop down notification from Amy and clicked on it. There were three links to articles. He clicked on the first one. Apparently one of the street names The Cryptic goes by is Francesco Martini. At least that was his good samaritan name. 

He was the youngest philanthropist New York has seen in decades, only 28. It was an article about how he donates thousands of dollars to help orphaned children, both magical and non-magical. He even takes some of the kids into his home, almost like that Daddy Warbucks in that muggle movie Hermione had made him watch once.

Hmm, I wonder if that’s a cover to better assess kids for the squib trafficking. Ron texted Amy.

I was thinking the same thing. Everything we’ve found on Francesco Martini is pretty solid and checks out, though. He’s careful with his aliases. Plus, he’s only ever seen in pictures by this name, so whoever his true identity is, he keeps that locked up tight.

Merlin, how does she text so fast? Ron thought. He moved onto the other articles she sent to pass the time. The first thing he’d do once Gerteso left would be to double check the name Martini, happy to have a solid plan for once.

The last article was still open on his phone when he noticed something about Martini’s picture. Why didn’t it look the same as the other article. Ron quickly toggled back and forth. Bloody hell, he thought as he opened the text thread for Hermione. 

Check those images on the articles of Martini, and tell me if you notice anything. He sent the text and waited a few moments. Sure, the years were two apart, but he was vastly different. Almost as if a beauty charm was used on the more recent article. In the older one he looked like-. His thought was cut off as Hermione’s text came through.

It doesn’t look like the same person, even though he’s labeled as Francesco Martini. That’s odd. I’m having Amy cross reference to see if we get any more image hits.

Notice anything else? Ron sent back.

The older image looks like someone I’ve seen before.

Oh, my... YES, RON THAT’S RIGHT! Ron nodded as he read Hermione’s message. 

There are some differences, though. 

You don’t think they could be brothers, do you? That could fit the whole taking what’s rightfully his.

I don’t know. I’ll search both names, Ron sent the last text to her as he heard a door shut. Harry texted. 

He’s leaving, but don’t come out yet. I want to be sure. I’m texting Jake and Charles to make sure he doesn’t see them following him, and not to engage. They’ll meet us back at headquarters.

They waited a good five minutes before they received word from Charles that Gerteso had left the Woolworth building. When Harry told him it was safe, Ron quickly showed him what Hermione and Amy had found and where he wanted to look.

“But that wouldn’t make sense, I trailed him the entire time he was here. He didn’t search the rows he wrote down in the log book, either, Ron. He stayed in the G section of 1998.” 

“I think they’re brothers Harry, and if Martini is an alias, then of course Gerteso would be looking in G. Let’s just check the M1998 section.” Harry nodded reluctantly as they quickly found it.

“There’s no Martini here, Ron,” Harry said impatiently, but Ron didn’t move.

He stood there, thinking hard. “What did Kingsley say about the Sanguinity connection with The Cryptic?”

“Just that the Sanguinity named him head of the New York Division,” Harry said, scratching his head.

“He’s 28, Harry. Very young. There’s got to be something special about him.”

“Or maybe they couldn’t find a suitable leader in New York and sent him here,” Harry said half jokingly.

Ron looked up at him. “That’s it! Harry, you’re brilliant!” He immediately began moving to the end of the aisle. 

“What? I was only-”

“But what if he was sent here? From Italy? Do they have immigrant records?”

“Er, yeah on the other side of the floor.”

“What are we waiting for?” Ron hurried to the immigration record area and searched for Martini. It didn’t take long to find one singular match in 1998. “Bloody hell,” Ron muttered as they grabbed the file.

He opened it as Harry looked over his shoulder, and sure enough, there was a picture of a boy who closely resembled a younger version of the man who Ron had seen in the article. It turned out Martini was indeed an alias.

“So The Cryptic’s real name is Lorenzo Guarnieri?” Harry asked quietly. 

“Looks like it. Let’s take pictures of all this so we can take it back to the team.” Ron handed Harry the folder as he reached for his phone. 

As Ron was taking the pictures, Harry continued studying the document. When it came across familial relations, Harry drew a sharp breath in. “Whoa.”

“What?” asked Ron.

“I think you might be right about the brother hunch, mate.”

“Yeah? Why’s that?” Ron asked curiously.

“Because it says so right here. A twin brother, who was older, but presumed dead. Leonardo Guarnieri.”

Ron looked up at Harry and both men had the same thought at the same time. “Gerteso.”

You could toss them some memes. Pretty sure they crave them lol ( Not like they don’t post about it ). And as a multi I am well aware of the specifying muse deal but I don’t think they mind so much that they won’t answer. You’ll just get whatever they roll lol BUT definitely specify muse if you can bc like I said, as a multi, it’s just better that way especially with the number of muses they have. OR you could do the big brain move and IM them “Hey I wanna write with you but I have no idea where to start with your muses. Do you have a preference?” and you guys can talk about who would mesh well together and then you can send memes or write a starter or even get a starter! Pretty sure it’s the same for anyone.

Funny note on that one tho. I think they approached me ooc by just sending my a post in IMs. I don’t even remember what it was or why they sent it. I was wildly confused but ya know. Gotta start somewhere lol Point is, you’ll be fine approaching them however you do. Just don’t ghost.

Other Roleplayers I’d Recommend To Them

You could write with the Teares’ siblings ( in the verse where they are related at least. Haven’t talked about if that’ll be a main thing or not ), baby sis @the-wonderland-jinx and Aeron’s twin @faultycode. The other muses on there are also great.

@klavz​ is a great Klaus imo. The dialogue is so on point. Like I could actually hear Klaus saying those things. Whether you feel the same is up to you but... definitely give ‘em a chance.

There are others but it’s more of a general ‘I like them’ rather than having specific reasons you’d mesh well with / be interested in them.

Pretending these people got into ‘heaven’ when they’re actually in a special hell that tortures them psychologically by picking a set of people that would eternally torture each other bc their personalities and behaviors clash perfectly. Asher ( or all your deadly sin demons really ) would definitely get a kick out of that I bet. Especially on Aeron. Ooo and Oliver.

Quite awhile and this must be when Carrie is bad again,otherwise Amara would have no reason to fight her.

A little backstory because I feel like I have to give a background of how you two started dating: You had gone to school for media and met a few up and coming youtubers that needed help with some editing. When people started recognizing that you had been editing and you were pretty decent at it, you became pretty high in demand. That’s how you ended up meeting Bobby – Bobby contacted you and wanted help editing some of his daily vlogs while his brother was out on vacation. You had edited the videos on a whole new level and Bobby couldn’t believe it, soon a bunch of other people that Bobby gave your name too were asking for you to edit and when Kian and JC thought Anderson needed a break from their editing they decided to test your skills. They sent you a test run and sure enough you passed, it was “Anderson 2.0” in their eyes and when Anderson and Harrison came to the states, they immediately asked you over to meet the pair. You and Anderson bonded over editing quickly and found yourselves spending hours upon hours sitting at the table or on the couch engrossed in your own work but still in each other’s company. You became fast friends but nothing more than that. You two talked every day and facetimed every night, mostly to share editing techniques or to just share company while editing a video. Sometimes you’d be lucky and have the night free and be able actually talk without either one of you editing. Those were your favorite nights. You’d really focus on his smile, his laugh, his eyes, the way he blushes when he get’s embarrassed when Harrison mentions his “crush on y/n”. But you guys never mentioned going beyond friends.

At least not until Vidcon London. Kian and JC practically begged you to join them in London but you couldn’t really afford it. You just told them you had a lot of other videos to edit and they continued to push and finally JC texted you information for a ticket to vidcon, hotel information, and a plane ticket, meaning everything was already in place. You just had to pack all your tech and you could work from London, no big deal, you only had 2 videos to finish up anyways. You left a few days later and followed Kian and JC as they bought Anderson a new computer for being their editor. When they finished the surprise, you saw Anderson look over at you. “Y/n? Can I get a moment with you?” You nodded and the two of you walked outside. You rolled your eyes at the chorus of hollers from Kian, JC, and Harrison that followed you out the door. Anderson turned to you and he was blushing you spoke up “It’s nice to see your blushing face in person.” He laughed and blushed more looking away. You spoke again “So what’s up bub, why did you want to pull me away from everyone?” He shrugged and then looked you in the eyes “This- well this is a little hard for me, I jus have a difficult time talking about this stuff, but I need to before I lose you to someone else.” You furrowed your brow “Anderson – you’re not going to lose me” He shook his head “No Y/n I don’t think you get it. I like you so much and don’t want to lose you to someone else so I need to tell you before you go home. I know, I know you’re in the states and I’m here but I would do anything to call you mine. Well almost anything, there’s a lot I wouldn’t do.” He continued to ramble and you chuckle slightly. Little did he know you’ve felt this way for a while but didn’t want to bring it up knowing the distance. “Anderson, bub?” You cut him off “You’re nervous rambling is cute but I need to cut you off before you have a system overload.” He has a sigh of relief and you hug him “It’s going to be a lot of work bub,” You spoke “But we already talk all the time so I guess at this point it’s just a label right?” He smiled “A label that comes with the ability to kiss you?” You chuckle and nod “Yes a label that comes with the ability to kiss me” almost immediately his lips were on yours but only for a peck. Anderson of course wanting to take it slow. He then took another look at you and kissed you again and you giggled against his lips “Sorry, I just really have been waiting to do that for so long.” You hummed softly and pecked his lips again “me too trust me.” You two decided that you’d been away from the group too long and walked back into the room where everyone was awkwardly standing with their ears to the wall. Harrison took one look at you two and saw your hands connected and yelled “FINALLY”

ABOUT ONE YEAR LATER

“Y/N!” You heard Bobby yell from the outside of your apartment “open up it’s Harrison’s last day!” You hear Harrisons voice now “let’s go love we won’t wait for you all day.” You get up from your comfortable spot on the couch “Oh shut up you two I’m coming.” You open the door and come face to face with two boys that quickly became brothers to you after meeting you. “Oh thank god you’re dressed and ready to go.” Harrison spoke up “Grab your purse come on.” You looked at him confused “I thought we were hanging out here what are you talking about?” Bobby laughed “I decided we should go out and do something. Harry and I came here to get you, everyone else is meeting us at brunch and then we are just walking around the city for a while, everyone’s hanging out at the house one last time tonight and then he leave tomorrow morning!” Bobby was energetic as ever but you were used to it. You grabbed your purse and quickly threw on your shoes smiled to the guys. Bobby smiled and pulled the door shut before leading you guys quickly into jeep. Harrison and you fought for the backseat as you felt bad taking shotgun from him on his last day here but him being the gentleman he is he insisted that you take it. You and Bobby sang along to the radio while Harrison recorded you two on his Instagram story. Anderson had texted you after seeing the video “I miss you so much baby girl” You looked at your phone and your face fell “I miss you too babe” Harrison caught it on camera and spoke “What’s wrong “Y/n” You look at the camera and smiled softly “I miss my boyfriend Anderson Webb. I miss his face, his smile. I love him so so so so so so mu-“ Harrison cut you off turning the camera to him “Ohhhhkaayyy that’s enough,” He uploaded the video with the caption “Bro you’ve got a keeper, but man couples are gross sometimes. Just kidding I love you guys.” He tagged you two and you laughed at his caption and Anderson reposted it with “I’m just jealous you got to see my girl mate.” That’s when you blurted it. “Harrison – I’m gonna come back to the UK with you.” Harrison stopped singing to the radio “Wait what?” You nodded “ I’ll buy the ticket right now. Seriously I haven’t seen his face in person in maybe seven months, our one year is coming up in 2 weeks. It’s not like I have to be in the states for my job” You know you sounded crazy but you were serious. “Y/n you’re not packed” Bobby was trying to be a voice of reason. “I can pack tonight Bobby. Harrison would he be mad if I surprised him.” Harrison laughed “Are you kidding me love, you could never make that boy mad. He’d be so happy. I can come back and help you pack later.” Bobby looked shocked “Duuuude, you’re seriously gonna take my Y/n from me” Harrison laughed “Okay first off she’s my brother’s girlfriend, you see her every day, he sees her once every half a year. To answer your question YES I’m gonna take her from you.” The three of you laughed. You finally reached brunch where you told Kian, JC, and Corey the plan and begged them not to saw anything. They all promised.

Brunch went well and you all went walking in the city. You and Harrison were talking about your trip, you had already bought the ticket and planned to stay for a little over a month to make up for lost time. Harrison and you were now looking window shopping behind everyone else and you saw a watch in a store near Gucci. “Harrison look.” You pointed and showed him the watch that you can put other times on “I think it’s perfect I can get him a new watch, he said he needs a new one, but I can get him one that has London as the main time, and Los Angeles as the secondary. He nodded “gold and get the diamonds around the edge, it’ll look cooler.” He told the guys you were going to grab something and they nodded before you rushed and grabbed the watch and found a matching watch for yourself getting “I love you” engraved on the band. You smiled when you got the finished product and rushed back out. The end of the day came quick and soon you and Harrison were back at your place blasting music and packing your suitcases and bags. You set out clothes for the next day and soon it was all ready to go. You smiled and laid on the bed “I can’t believe I’m doing this.” Harrison laughed “You’re okay that I film it right?” You shot up “If you don’t let me edit it I’ll be pissed” He smiled “You and Anderson might have to fight for it, or joint edit this one.” You nodded “I think I’m gonna try to sleep it’s late. The hardest part will be not talking to him tomorrow. I’ll just tell him I’m editing for someone new and that I’m really busy.” Harrison nodded “Just tell him that you’re editing for the twins and that they did a rather lengthy video, they know about the surprise so they will go along with it.” You nodded “Alright, he get’s it so that will buy me some time to get there and get the surprise done.” He nodded and got up before walking to the door “Alright love, the boys and I will come up tomorrow to get ya. I’ll lock it all up. Love you kid.” You hummed “Love you too Harrison.”

Sleep found you well and you soon woke up to your alarm going off. You jumped out of bed excited for the day and through on the leggings and sweater (of course Harrison’s) that you set out the night before and fix up your hair before throwing on a bit of natural makeup. All your bags were by the door and ready to go. As the time got closer to leave you didn’t know weather you were nervous or excited or maybe a bit of both. Soon the doorbell rang and you flung it open, grabbed the bags tossed them too the hallway locked the door, and started to walk to the car. “Well goooood morning y/n” Harrison chirped and Bobby chuckled “Do you want me to watch the house and water the plants while you’re gone?” You laugh dragging the bags behind you “Bobby, the plants are fake, but if you could swing by once a week to check it out that’d be great. You guys have my spare still?” He nodded and Harrison took one of the bags from you. Once you all got to the car Bobby began vlogging the goodbye vlog and you panicked “You know you can’t post this until after the surprise right?” He laughed “I’ll make sure I wait for Harrison to post the surprise vlog before I post this one, just edit it quickly miss fancy fingers.” You rolled your eyes and looked at the camera “He’s just jealous I’m the better editor and that I don’t edit for him anymore.” Bobby shrugged “Psssh no.” Soon you were at the airport, saying goodbye to Bobby and the vlog. You quickly made it through customs, and boarded the plane and the trip seemed to drag so you passed out.

Soon enough Harrisons shaking you awake, “Love, we landed.” You yawned and stretched. Before grabbing your carry on, soon you two are leaving the airport, in a uber and making your way to their house. “Okay so you know to wait outside, I’ll tell him I got him a present but that he has to be blindfolded, then I’ll bring you in to the living room set you down behind him, we will take it from there.” You nodded “What if you put my gift to him in his lap” Harrison laughed “God he’d be so confused. Spray it with your perfume too, maybe that’ll help.” You nodded and soon the plan was complete and you were in front of the house. You grabbed the bags from the back and put them by the door grabbing the box of watches for Anderson and hanging onto them “Wait here love” Harrison went inside and returned a few moments later before leading you into the living room where Anderson sat waiting you wanted to grab him and kiss him but you didn’t want to ruin the surprise. You sat on the couch and handed the box to him Anderson spoke up “Bro it smells like Y/n what the heck.” Harrison laughed “I may have brought back a shirt of hers for you but that’s not the present. Hold out your hand.” Anderson hesitantly did so “Is it going to bit me” Harrison laughed again “No bro this is a good one I promise.” Harrison set the box in his hand and then took the blindfold off “Oui bro, this is the watch company in the states that y/n loves, I’ve been needing a new watch.” Harrison smiles at his brother tying to avoid looking back at you. Anderson ripps open the box and sees the two different times “Brooooo – UK and LA times?” Harrison nodded and then he noticed the “I love you” on the side Anderson looked up at Harrison “this isn’t from you isn’t?” Harrison faked being upset “I’m appalled” Anderson then looked at the watch “she got this for me didn’t she and she gave it to you to give me? And sprayed it with her perfume too? God I love her.” You couldn’t take anymore and you stood up and smiled “I love you too babe. Happy one year.” Anderson quite literally jumped out of his chair and picked you up “Oh my – what are you – how long have you planned this????” He kissed you quickly so you could answer “I decided it just yesterday while driving to brunch with Harrison and Bobby. I missed you too much.” That’s when Harrison turned to the camera “hey everyone – my bestfriend slash girlfriend slash love of my entire life is here. I can’t believe it.” He kissed you again and Harrison groaned “okay you two can we keep going with the video?” You smiled “Honey this is the video!” Anderson laughed and moved to pull you to sit on his lap while you all faced the camera. You spoke “so about the watch,” you grabbed it and put it on him watching him admire it “Do you like it?” He nodded “now I’ll never forget the time difference and call you in the middle of the night.” You all laughed before you pulled up the sleeve of your sweater “we match” His smile grew wider, if possible “even better.” Harrison ended the video and you two snuck a kiss or two in while he wasn’t looking. After it ended Anderson looked at you “cuddles?” You nodded “They are so long overdo.” You both hurried off before you yelled “Harrison can you get my bags?” Harrison yelled back “Got them, but you have to edit.” Anderson looked at you “edit? Really? You’re editing for my brother now?” You laughed “Only this video I promise” He nodded and kissed you again while you muttered against his lips “surprise”

I’m kind of glad Dot turned out to have a super power because being the only hero with no powers is sort of Arthur’s whole thing. I also like that she didn’t outshine Overkill and just step over him, but still looks up to him a bit and appreciates his approval. They feel like equals, and he’s still an awkward turtle socially.

THEY WERE SO CUDDLY AND AWKWARD ON THE COUCH, Overkill is def the kind of guy who can’t move if there’s a pet on his lap. He’s so soft I can’t...

I LOVE that we get to see more of Joan and her relationship to her family, she’s awesome and I love and support her. She’s just doing her best, and I hope those lobster babies come to visit.

Superian and Larry’s relationship continues to baffle me just a bit. Larry seems to just be a willing servant to cater to his whims I guess. I kinda hoped they were more buddy buddy than that. Apparently it makes Superian feel better to toss him way up and catch him lawl

The way Hobbs reacted when Tick broke the arm wrestling machine thing makes me wonder if Tick is actually the strongest superhero in the world, maybe second only to Superian ??? Or at least the strongest ever registered with AEGIS.

I really, REALLY like Sage. He’s fantastic. He’s also really attractive, is it just me? DAT VOICE THO. [take me on a wild nipple ride! jk omg I’m sorry]

That twin woman who was impressed with Arthur’s nerdy organization came off as REALLY OBVIOUSLY flirting with him, and his reaction was to just shrug it off like he wasn’t in to her, even though she was gorgeous, and Tick immediately picked up on it that she was flirting and got DEFENSIVE AS HELL like she was taking Arthur away and I just-- that’s pretty gay guys. That’s really... wow. And then she comes back and continues to hit on Arthur and he never once acts like he’s in to her, I don’t... I don’t know what to say but if Arthur suddenly starts pining over her in season 3 out of no where I’m gonna kms [not because he’s not gay but because it’s pretty clear he’s not interested in this woman. Don’t establish this and then force romance after we’ve seen there’s none.] Also when Arthur was picking out fancy clothes Tick had REALLY specific fashion descriptions and opinions on what looked good on him. He was like enjoying Arthur modeling clothes ajdlfdjas

I honestly, unironically, think Edgelord’s entire look is cool and he’s very handsome. I think he looks like if Johnny Depp and Adam Driver had a baby.

SUPERIAN FEARS THE TUMBLRS. We’re his kryptonite. 

Dangerboat... plane... whatever he is, kinda deserved a little more attention toward the last half of the season. The episode centered around him was the most emotional and it brought everyone together more, I really dug that. It made me cry. ALSO WE STAN MICHAEL, HE WAS TOO GOOD FOR THIS WORLD. I’m so proud of Arthur for seeing Dangerboat more as a person and making an effort to connect to him as a friend. <3 good job Arthur-- at the same time--

I HATE they way Arthur acted like Dot has a specific thing she should or shouldn’t be that was out of character. It’s like the writers wanted the female character to undergo some sort of oppression to rise up against, some form of misogyny from her male family member that she had to point out. You shouldn’t have to tear down a good character because he’s male, to make the female look good. If misogyny was gonna come out of Arthur, let it come out another way other than “this isn’t want you’re supposed to do” like mother fucker, she’s been taking care of you your whole life, she’s done martial arts training, she’s a paramedic, she is way more qualified than you. He’s the last person to talk that way to anyone and it’s pissing me the fuck off. He’s the one struggling with mental illness and no phyical ability to fight anyone, it makes no sense.

Arthur’s actor Griffin Newman, he just does such a fantastic job. The whole undercover scene was so perfectly on pitch, like... just the right level of second hand embarrassment and pride came outta me. He was so close to  blowing it because he’s an anxious person by nature, but he pulled it off and came off more as just an awkward criminal with tons of money that was just believably nerdy. I loved it, it was so funny. Please give him all the awards. And that scene where Tick is on one side of Lint, way too close to her, and Arthur is on the other, and they just work her forking nerves was so hysterical. I died. I think they need to play up that comedic chemistry more often because Tick and Arthur bounce off each other really well when they’re not busy trying to solve serious problems. 

Ok so the whole human furniture thing caught my eye immediately. The pose we are first introduced to is an infamaously disturbing pose by a real life serial killer who ate people and posed their bodies in weird positions and used them for sex and I forget what else. Anyway I tried to brush that off as coincidence, but then later on Dot and Overkill go to where they think this Duke guy’s lair is, and his house looks exactly like John Podesta’s house that had a statue of that EXACT same serial killer’s victim in that pose, and podesta’s walls were covered in creepy pedo art of little girls and drowning women. And the walls of Duke’s lair were covered in creepy human furniture art. I mean there are all kinds of parodies this season that are in your face, but I don’t think anyone who didn’t follow pizzagate carefully would catch this one.

Speaking of parodies OMFG I lost it when Superian reenacted that Superman scene where he’s like “Can you read my mind?” as he’s dragging the screaming guy across the night sky. 

Ugh, I’m so sad that Tick and Arthur don’t get to keep those precious baby lobsters, and where did they get all the cute toys?? I wanna think Joan picked those up for them. Kawaii lobster voice: “Joaaan!” Tick is such a good dad...  A family can be a giant Tick man, a moth boy, a hobo, a mimaw, and a bunch of singing lobsters. "SHE'S THE MOTHER OF OUR CHILDREN!" Tick drinks respect woman lobster mom juice.

I think I don’t know what to make of the reverse Green Goblin twist going on with Ms. Lint. The creepy voice is telling her to become a hero I guess, but not really? I think the joke is we think it’s telling her to be a hero, but really it’s teaching her to be a  better villain LMAO

I’m glad kevin has a power and he was welcomed to come help even before said power was revealed.-- woah wait where tf is Karamozov?? I gotta tweet his actor he loves this show and he wasn’t in this season ???

I don’t blame Dot for being upset they want to defrost The Terror, but at the same time due process is a thing. I don’t know how that would work in a society full of super powers though. Because the moment you defrost him he’s going to find a way to escape. He’s the oldest, and the worst super villain of all time. This is why I’m ok with the death penalty and killing villains lol

I was expecting Walter to be some sort of MK Ultra sleeper agent, but the plot twist was, that’s what Overkill would become I guess. And Lobstercules. OH BTW I think she’s voiced by the same actress who played Captain Liberty in the old Tick sitcom! “Walter isn’t Walter? My feet don’t feel so good.” Aw Tick

Acting agent commander doctor agent Hobbs, honestly I suspected he was the main villain like the moment he was headed toward Lobstercules because something about the lighting and the camera work seemed to telegraph that.

I bet the reason Ty Rathbone feeds his black hole heart monster mice, is because it requires frequent blood sacrifice and that's the smallest sacrifice he can think of that he can quickly just put in there and placate it and go on with his day. I don’t know if he’ll be season 3′s villain or if it’s the aliens that just came back to reclaim Superian. 

Which btw, I called that shit from season 1 episode 1. Superian showed up crash landing inside Big Bismuth which is the only thing that could trap him. He was a prisoner, probably because he did some bad shit, and he told Arthur he helps humanity because he just wants to be a good person. Like he wasn’t one before and now he wants to try to be one.

I want to talk about these, nearly involuntary dance parties Overkill rewards himself with... but I uh... I still can’t compute that that’s actual canon. That that’s a thing Overkill and Dangerboat enjoy together and he... he can’t seem to control himself when the music plays... And also that Dot AND Overkill both know how to floss dance... I just... wow...

Oh and that hug with Overkill made me an emotional mess, he just... he really needed that, thank you Dot.

Crisis on Earth X is a thing that really happened and I was surprised how many little things were in there that made me very happy. Of course it will always be a sour subject, because wtf did they think that literal Nazis were necessary?

I’m sure there are hundreds of posts talking about this anyway, it all started when news broke, what would happen and now seeing it... WHY? I am not against evil doppelgangers, I love the concept. Especially if they meet and we can see how paths diverge and the good twin, who is in some sort of emotional crisis, finds new strength/faith/believe/confidence. And this would’ve been so easy here.

I like the concept of evil Supergirl. But just have Earth X be a world that was conquered by Superman first. History changed blablabla and now there is this place where physical power reigns and while the few good people killed Superman, everything was worse when Supergirl arrived and took his place. Wow, is she pissed off, losing her planet and learning how humans killed her cousin (her last piece of family). And build the world from there.

It can still be a fascist regime, but it’s enough to have like some sort of stand-in Nazis. I don’t need swastikas, a fucking SS emblem on Supergirl’s chest and concentration camps complete with historical accurate stars of David and pink triangles. Fuck you!

And this evil Kara would still tie in perfectly with our Kara. Better than humans, doing whatever she wants, because she can. In “Supergirl” Kara had to deal with being worshipped and she there is this loneliness, because yes, she is not human and it has become a shield for her. And seeing such a perverted version of herself can be a great inner journey. But the whole Führer crap (lol Kara second-in-command, really????) takes away from that.

I’m somewhat “glad” they remembered that Felicity and Stein are jewish. Then again this came in handy for more revolting drama. I didn’t need to see Earth-X Felicity brought in like that. Also having the “Arbeit macht frei” sign including the upside down b felt so wrong, there is a very specific story behind it. It’s not like superhero stories can’t use this, it’s just... look, seeing Magneto visit Auschwitz means something. Marvel fucked up enough with Hydra!Steve. I don’t need a four episode crossover event of overall lighthearted superhero shows to crank the Nazi shit up to 11. Yes, they are getting punched and everybody gets a “I hate Nazis” line... but you fucking still tortured you two jewish characters and KILLED ONE OF THEM!!

Okay, so Professor Martin Stein was going. You wanted a big heroic death scene/sacrifice as a sucker punch for the end. Have this big loss. I get it. But don’t kill dear jewish Grandpa by faceless swastika wearing nazi soldiers............ PROTECT FELICITY AND STEIN HERE AT ALL COSTS!

I can’t even enjoy seeing The Ray and Earth-X Leo Snart smooching. It’s tainted, because remembering that other minorities were targeted (and having Alex and Sara exchange a glance there, when Stein explains the pink triangles)....... just FUCK YOU ALL.

And that very sweet double wedding ending... it’s spoiled a little bit. Because I do remember the Ronnie/Caitlin wedding, WITH STEIN OFFICIATING! Btw thank you for every moment Stein and Caitlin had. Those were amazing. And that you mentioned that wedding. (Also Caitlin clearifying that she helped with that serum and it isn’t just Cisco and Harry who do the science thing... even though FUCK YOU again, because taking it was so horrible in the end.)

Let all the doppelgangers be super-assholes, let them be villains who out-evil all the main villains. Let Eobard look like the least threatening of them all somehow. Let them kill and conquer and oppress. But you don’t need to put real life monstrosities in there for that.

Okay, okay, so that overshadows everything, but if I step back and look at this as a all-the-superheroes-meet-and-fight-and-save-each-other crossover event. It worked very well. Definitely better than last year (where Kara’s presence was not necessary, guess that’s why she was so prominent this time?) and I liked how everybody could pitch in. And getting some nice personal scenes, before and during the crisis.

I’m very much okay that Central City and “The Flash” family are like the anchor to all of this. “Arrow” was first, sure, but it’s too doom and gloom all the time. Star LABS is a great base of operations and who wouldn’t love Barry and Iris? Sara started out on “Arrow” and thank you, that she always keeps a special connection to Ollie. And Ray was in Star City first as well. Yet somehow the Legends work better in connection to “The Flash” and metahumans and all.

Alex having a little panic attack, because she had her first one night stand was somewhat cute. And I guess there’s no better person to share this with than Sara. XD And Kara cheering her on was hilarious. Yay, sorry you two had a vacation in hell there... tbh if this team needed a leader, I still think Alex would be better qualified than Oliver. Except it turned out to be about Kara and with her sister in danger all rational thought went bye-bye. We are in S6 of “Arrow” and Ollie pulls the same bs as always and I still don’t buy into him as a leader. And sorry, but Sara is the one I want in my corner when shit hits the fan, but the leading aspect... Alex is the best trained for this (as long as J’onn isn’t around), but the biggest handicap for her is not knowing these people yet. And the writers love putting Ollie front and center (on fucking both sides).

I have had a lot of ups and downs with my liking of Felicity (mainly due to rubbish writing for unnecessary drama), but she got to put her best foot forth. OMG when she stood in front of helpless Kara, bodyshielding her. PRAISE! Teaming up with Iris was really cool.

Speaking of cool, I love you, Killer Frost. :3 a) I’m pissed Führer!Ollie didn’t lose his arm to her power, she was freezing him, come on! b) Can she team up with The Ray? Because that money shot with the whole team for the last fight they gave off this Firestar/Iceman vibe. Or c) let her hang out with Amaya and Zari, that was a great girl power moment.

Look, I don’t care too much about the plot. I’m okay with “let’s conquer another earth, and we choose the one day where the most superheroes are grouped up, because we are super confident we can take them; and then we take the heart of one for a transplant”. The most important part about a crossover like this to me are the character moments. (Same goes for event comics, where writers still believe anybody gives a rat’s ass about a convuluted plot with twists they pulled out of their ass. NO WE DON’T!) Know what had me clapping with joy? The caterer at the wedding, don’t try to tell me that was anybody but the daughter of Barry and Iris from the future. That is exciting!

The only other plot device I want to UGH about was the use of Red Tornado. Loved seeing General Schott as the resistance leader. And you know what, I understand why he didn’t want to give them time in the first place. But then he does, but oh no, he orders the strike earlier anyway and suddenly Flash and Ray have to fight the weapon that would help weaken the evil that destroys this Earth. Okay, so evil Oliver and Kara die anyway and Earth-X Felicity was just send off with a gun and will inspire hope I guess... but still... the Crisis on Earth-X is not totally over.

I could go on and on. Even with some nice parts. But again, fuck you for making me cry like that. EVERYBODY PLEASE HUG JEFFERSON SOME MORE!
